Thank you for the love you gave and all the things you taught us:-From Roman walls, through kings and queens, to medieval fortress.
For all the stomps along the beach, through fields and boggy ground. A map and torch to keep us safe, a short cut took a long way round.
Thank you for the custard tarts and endless cups of tea.  For calling at a local pub, for a half (or three!).
For learning how to sail, upon the River Thurn.
Getting caught amongst the reeds, would we ever learn?
For all the stage and screen we saw, it'll never be the same.  Concerts, opera, ballet; how cultured we became.
For showing me the places that you held so dear.  For visits to their breweries, to taste their local beer.
Thank you for the fun we had, with no one else around. Thank you for the time we shared and the love we found.
Thank you for the friend you were, never dreamt that we would part. Thank you for you being you, forever in my heart.
